Connect

Menu names vary by app version, so the steps below may look slightly different in your app.

Claude

1. Open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
2. Paste the Server URL above, then choose Connect.

ChatGPT

1. Open Settings → Apps or Connectors.
2. Add a custom MCP connector, where your plan and app version offer it.
3. Paste the Server URL above.

Grok

1. Go to grok.com/connectors → New Connector → Custom.
2. Paste the Server URL above.

Other assistants

Any app that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in can connect. Add the Server URL as a new MCP server.

Sign in with a pairing code

When your assistant opens the Sunset sign-in page:

1. On your iPhone, open the Sunset app → Connect AI assistants → Get pairing code.
2. Type the 8-character code on the sign-in page.

The code works once and expires after 10 minutes. There is no account or password.

Requirements

• An iPhone with the latest Sunset app, with notifications allowed.
• The alarm permission granted to Sunset.

What your assistant can do

• Check your alarm (get_alarm) — whether it is on and what time it is set for, as last synced from your phone.
• Set your alarm (set_alarm) — to a 24-hour local time, like 07:30.
• Skip the next alarm (skip_next_alarm) — only the next ring is skipped.
• Turn the alarm off (disable_alarm) — it stays off until it is turned on again.
• Check a change (get_alarm_command) — whether an earlier change was confirmed by your phone.

Try asking:

• “Set my alarm for 6:45”
• “Skip tomorrow’s alarm”
• “Is my alarm on?”

Safety

• Your phone applies every change itself. Your assistant only says it’s done once the phone confirms.
• If your phone is offline, the change stays pending and you get a “Confirm alarm change” notification.
• Every applied change shows a notification on your iPhone with an Undo button.
• The connector reads and changes only your alarm — nothing else on your phone. It records which assistant made each change. See the privacy policy.
• You can disconnect at any time.

Disconnect

In the Sunset app, open Connect AI assistants and choose Disconnect next to the assistant. You can also remove Sunset from your assistant’s own connector settings.

Troubleshooting

The pairing code doesn’t work

Codes expire after 10 minutes and work once. Get a new one in Sunset → Connect AI assistants.

Your assistant says to update Sunset

Update the app from the App Store, then open it once.

A change is still pending

Open Sunset on your iPhone so it can apply the change.
